About
Frontier Profile publishes Q&A profiles of the executives of companies that have incorporated AI into their existing services or who are offering AI services as a primary use case.
I'm Ewan and I'm the publisher of Frontier Profile. I've been following the rise of AI for the longest time so I'm particularly interested about how companies are offering services using AI to drive phenomenal efficiencies for their customers.
I've been publishing our sister publication, FinTech Profile, since 2015 – and in this time we've interviewed about 500+ executives.
Every profile runs the same way - it's a simple Q&A interview. I try and keep the questions the same for most individuals but now and again I'll adjust as necessary. It doesn't need meetings or calendar gymnastics - we conduct everything offline by email.
We cover companies building AI for enterprises, whether AI is the whole product or a new part of an established one: platforms, tooling, applied AI, and the infrastructure underneath.
Our readers are CIOs, Chief AI officers, Heads of Data, and the people who sign off on enterprise software. I like the fact that when people search for companies, brands and individuals (e.g. if they're aiming to meet with an executive we've profiled), they get some great and useful information ahead of time from Frontier Profile.
But - and this is a big one - the majority of the accesses to Frontier Profile (and our other publications) are actually automatic, i.e. AI agents - and obviously, this isn't a problem! I encourage it because we're essentially helping populate the knowledge of the world's AI agentic systems with data about our interviewees. FinTech Profile interviews, for example, are readily quoted in the likes of ChatGPT responses.
Who publishes it
Me: Frontier Profile is published by me, Ewan MacLeod, and I also publish FinTech Profile, Conversational AI News and (occasionally) Mobile Industry Review.
Criteria
If you'd like to participate, here is the criteria:
- You must be a senior executive - founder, co-founder, C-Level, EVP, SVP or demonstrable equivalent. Very occasionally we'll feature a 'Head of' or equivalent.
- We keep this focus to ensure that we're featuring the spokespeople who are the decision makers in the companies we're covering.
- Your company must serve businesses or large enterprises either with AI as a key additive offering or AI as a the primary offering.
How to participate
There are two typical routes:
- You pitch yourself to me by email. I'm [email protected]. Here's how you do it: Open an email, briefly tell me about your company and your position. Include your company's weblink and your LinkedIn. I'll revert as soon as I can with the standard questions.
- Your PR agency pitches you and your company to me. I've got a special page for PR Agencies with all the detail. It's essentially the same approach as above though.
I'm perfectly happy with either route and I work very regularly with PR companies to feature their clients.
